IntraParis nomade is the remote access portal reserved for agents of the City of Paris. It allows users to consult their professional email, business applications, and HR tools from a location outside the municipal network. Access is through a dedicated web address and professional credentials, but also requires a prior authorization issued by the administration. Without this authorization, having your username and password is not sufficient.

Prior authorization and legal framework of the nomadic portal

Most online guides describe entering credentials without mentioning the administrative prerequisite. The official portal of the City of Paris clearly states this: access to the service is subject to prior authorization.

This authorization is generally granted by the department to which the agent belongs. It conditions the activation of the account on the nomadic portal. A newly assigned agent or one changing departments may therefore temporarily find themselves without access, even with valid credentials.

The portal also reminds users of a legal aspect rarely mentioned in tutorials. Any unauthorized attempt to access, maintain, obstruct, or modify the system may fall under articles 226-15 and 323-1 to 323-7 of the Penal Code. In practical terms, this means that lending your credentials to a colleague or attempting to bypass an access block exposes you to criminal sanctions.

The user also commits to respecting the charter for the proper use of the IT resources of the City and the Department of Paris. The procedure to log in to my IntraParis nomade account therefore assumes that this authorization has been verified as active beforehand.

IntraParis nomade login: detailed technical process

The entry point is the address nomades.apps.paris.fr. Any other URL found on a search engine poses a phishing risk. Typing the address directly into the browser’s address bar remains the most reliable method.

Credentials and authentication

The login form requires the professional username (the one used on the internal network) and the associated password. This information is provided by the IT department upon taking up the position.

If enhanced authentication is configured, an additional step will appear after entering the password. This verification may take the form of a temporary code sent to a registered device. Never validate an authentication request that you did not initiate: this is a sign that a third party is attempting to use your credentials.

Browser choice

Edge and Chrome offer the best compatibility with the nomadic portal. Outdated versions of browsers can cause display errors or block the login process. Keeping your browser up to date eliminates a significant portion of the technical problems reported by agents.

On mobile, the dedicated application (available on Android and iOS stores) synchronizes notifications and necessary permissions. It avoids session issues that sometimes occur via a mobile browser.

Forgotten password or blocked account on IntraParis nomade

Account blocking is the most common issue, and it almost always has the same cause: multiple login attempts with an incorrect password.

The official portal offers a password reset link. This link redirects to a page hosted on the domain vdp-gestionidentitenumerique.apps.paris.fr. Again, checking the domain in the address bar protects against phishing attempts.

  • Forgotten password: use the “Forgot password” link on the login page, then follow the instructions sent to the recovery channel associated with your account.
  • Account blocked after several failures: wait for the automatic unblocking delay (variable depending on the configuration) or contact your department’s IT support directly.
  • Authentication denied despite a correct password: check that the device used for validation is indeed the one registered in the system, and that the clock on that device is synchronized.
  • Blank page or display error: clear the browser cache, disable extensions that block scripts, then try again.

When the problem persists, municipal IT support usually requests three pieces of information: the agent’s username, the exact error message, and a screenshot. Preparing these elements before contacting support speeds up processing.

Accessing email and services after login

Once logged into the portal, the homepage displays shortcuts to available applications. The professional email (My Mail) opens via Outlook Web. Chronotime, the time and activity management tool, is accessible from the same portal.

Each agent only sees the services authorized for their profile. An agent who does not find Chronotime or another tool after logging in probably does not have the corresponding rights. The access request goes through the hierarchy, not through technical support.

For email, the initial loading may take a few seconds on a slow connection. If Outlook Web displays a certificate error, it often indicates a network problem on the user’s side (company proxy, active personal VPN). Disabling any third-party VPN before logging into the nomadic portal resolves this type of conflict.

Best practices for nomadic sessions

Always log out at the end of a session to protect the account, especially on a shared computer. The portal does not automatically log out after a period of inactivity as short as one might assume.

Do not save the password in the browser on a machine that does not belong to the agent. Password managers built into browsers are convenient, but they sometimes sync data across shared profiles.

The nomadic portal of the City of Paris remains a conditional access tool, where verifying authorization, adhering to the IT charter, and being vigilant about URLs are as important as simply knowing your credentials.
